So after getting my feet wet with my first blog post, I decided to get right into the next one with another RTG game, the “Diamond Mine” slots. Don’t let the name fool you, there is no clever theme here, no interesting background or entertaining music. If a plain, old school slot experience is what you are looking for, this is it folks. The graphic is a generic pull handle slot machine, with a 3-reel single payout line design, where the payout table is listed above. You can play from 1 to 3 coins per spin, which will change your payout accordingly. There is a progressice jackpot, but it is only available on the 3 coin spins. The bets can range from $0.05 per coin up to $5.00 per coin, for a $0.15 or $15.00 spin max bet, respectively.
After about 10 minutes of playing I honestly got bored with the lengthy losing streaks I was on. I managed to blow through $500 pretty quick, playing somewhat slow. It was really tough to stay engaged with the generic sights and sounds. When it comes down to it, if you are in the mood for a classic game, and have the desire to revisit the old style, give this one a shot, but I don’t think I will ever spin those reels again.
