Tonight I was feeling in a pretty good mood, until I sat to start playing “Movie Magic”, at a Vegas Tech casino. The game was very slow, for starters, and it seemed to lag a lot, even though the graphics and animations were very low-key. The game is a Hollywood themed slots game where the slots run the standard 9-A with a few movie themed icons (popcorn, people, camera, film, etc.). The slots are a 5-reel 25-line combination, and the bets range from a $0.01 minimum to a $10.00 maximum. There is also a static $375,000 jackpot. They advertise a free spin bonus that triggers with multiple move reels, but I was only able to get two, which triggers a single free spin. I played the game for roughly 10 minutes, at a fairly calm pace, partly because the game was slowing me down. I started out with $25.00 total bets, and was doing pretty well; I managed to get up a couple hundred after some quick big wins. The decent sized payouts seemed to be pretty consistent, and there were few spans of losses during play. After about 5 minutes I bumped up to $125.00 max bets, and eventually bumped to the max bet of $250.00. I played for another 3 minutes or so until I busted out, so I pretty quickly went through all my money. I didn’t really notice, because the drone of the slow gameplay, lack of music, and B-rate graphics and animation put me into a gambling coma.
Take my advice, avoid this game…unless you have a little insomnia, because this game is probably the perfect cure, plus it seems like the best payouts happen in the first 5 minutes, just enough time for you to pass out from boredom.
