So today I tried out another Rival video slots game called “Secret Garden.” It started out with a cheesy-cutesy intro screen, and then the music started….oh that music, it will haunt me. It was cute at first, but I think if you listen to it too long, you’ll go slowly insane.

The game is a standard 5×20 slots game with up to 10 coins per line ranging in wager from $0.01 to $0.50, leading to a $100.00 max bet. As usual I played the max bet for ~15 minutes (that’s all I could take). I ended up pretty much breaking even, I may have been down $100-$200, but the free spins really saved me. The payouts are definitely few and far between, several are quality, but many are insignificant ($15-$50 on a $100 bet). The plus side was the bonuses; the scatter symbol will yield from 20-50 free spins at a 2x multiplier, when 3-5 symbols appear. I hit the 20 spin variety three times, each of which went for a >$2000 payout. The low free spin total was $2070, and the high was $2960, not too shabby, but considering that 20 spins costs $2000, the overall winnings aren’t impressive ($70-$160). The other bonus is a “Secret Garden round” triggered by 3 or more keys appearing. I hit this round once but it was really confusing, and I didn’t’ quite get how to play.

I was literally falling asleep at the end of play, I was just so bored, and I would just close my eyes and hit the spin button waiting for a free spin noise to come up, but that music practically put me into a trance. Unless you really need to fall asleep, I don’t suggest playing this game. It was boring, paid out poorly, and the music makes you want to cut your ears off after about 5 minutes.
