I was hoping tonight was going to be a good night, I sat down with a cold beer, got myself in the mood for some good gameplay after my last play, and then I loaded up “Thunderstruck,” another Microgaming slot game. Then my night started to head south, along with my free play balance.
This game is a game based on Thor, where the characters range from 9-A, with Thor, his Hammer, Valhalla, etc., with a scatter symbol of Rams. If you hit 3, 4, or 5 of the ram symbols it triggers 15 free spins. I never stuck around to take part in the free spins. Judging by the win frequency, it wouldn’t be worth much anyways. Needless to say I was unimpressed with this game, it was laggy, uninteresting, and just didn’t have enough to keep me wanting to spin the reels…..and the payout frequency was terrible, and what wins I did pick up were small. The gameplay centers around the 5 reel x 9 line format, with 5 coins per ling, ranging from $0.01 - $1.00 bets per coin, allowing for a $45.00 max bet, which I played with. After about 10 minutes I quit, because I had enough of laggy gameplay, and I was down almost $1500, with no sight of recovery.
The game was a neat concept, and I liked the art and graphics, but the gameplay was just terrible, payouts were sparse, and there just wasn’t enough there to keep you interested.
