So after a long weekend vacation I’m back, and with something a little different this time. I tried out a game called French Roulette Gold at a Microgaming casino tonight. This game was pretty fun, I really enjoyed it, and I can’t really say there was anything I didn’t like about it. I’m not going to take the time to layout the rules and how to play roulette, as I never played before this game myself. The in-game instructions do a pretty good job of explaining the game and all of the different betting schemes. I played primarily the neighbor bets and regular outside bets. Basically what that means is I played a 5-number block on the wheel, I picked one main number, then bet on the two numbers to either side. The outside bets are things like red, black, odd, even, or the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd dozen numbers. The game is based on the French rules, where the pockets range from 0-36. The possible wager values are $1 - $50. The aesthetics of the game were really pretty impressive. This particular casino has had issues with lagging gameplay, but this game went off without problem. The betting method was also pretty simple and very easy to get used to quickly. I found it hard to stop playing this game, and being a game of chance, there is always an element of surprise when that wheel turns. I played for about 15 minutes, a little longer than I usually play for, and I finished up almost $2000, which is pretty impressive. I basically stayed in the black the entire time as well. When you play a few numbers like that, if you hit one of them, the payout is 36:1, so it is pretty significant. I was playing primarily $50 or $100 total bets, so when I hit a number I made $260, if I hit the color as well, I made an extra $200. It was a lot of fun, and really easy to recoup a loss if you play the field well.

I would definitely recommend this game, but I would suggest that you plan your betting carefully, make sure to match your colors and even/odd bets with your straight up numbers and you will likely at least break even every time.
