I went back to the video slots at an RTG casino tonight and tried something fitting for the evening with “Warlock’s Spell” and was sorely disappointed. This was a terrible game, and I really did not enjoy it at all. First, the basics…it was a standard 5×20line slot game with bets ranging from $0.01 - $5.00. I went with the max bet as usual, and began playing. For 20 minutes straight, I was on a losing streak. It seemed like for spin after spin I would get nothing, not even the smallest payout. Then I would get one here and there. Overall both the win frequency and payout values were abysmal to say the least, I was ready to quit when the feature game triggered. When three or more spell books appear in any reels a free spin game is triggered. You must pick out of 6 “potion” ingredients until you get the correct one. Depending on if you get it right the first time, or the sixth time, you will get 100, 25, 20, 15, 10, or 8 free spins. I wound up with 15, and after several wins in the free spin round (all prizes were tripled), I wound up $100 in the black, rather impressive that my entire losses were gained back in one bonus round. Still, that didn’t change my opinion of the game, it was really boring, the graphics were very dull, and the overall feel was very…blah is the only word that comes to mind. Don’t waste your time with this game, or if you really really want to, set the autospin to run, and go play something else.
