.: Casino War Casino Game Review
Casino War is perhaps the easiest game to play at any online casino. You probably played war
as a kid. You and your friend would get a card from the deck and see which card was higher.
This is the exact game in a perfect format for casinos.
There isn't much to playing war - the rules are very simple. Simply place an ante bet. Bet as much or as little
as you like. Then, one card is dealt to the player, and another to the dealer - both face up. If
the player card is higher than the dealer, you win the value of your bet (plus the
original bet remains yours). If your number is lower, you lose your stake.
Should the two numbers be the same denomination, a war is called. The player has the option to
'go to war' or surrender and lose half their stake. Should you go to war, you need to
double your bet by placing a bet of equal denomination on the table. Once the bet is down,
the dealer will burn three cards, and then the payoff card to both dealer and player. If the
dealer's number is higher, both bets go to the house. Should the player win, only the second war
bet is paid off, but the player retains both stakes. Many casinos consider the player a winner
if the war ends in a tie.
The house advantage rears its ugly head only when the first card for dealer and player is a tie.
The odds of getting a higher or lower card is always 50-50 and the game pays even money (1 to 1) - except
during wars (it pays 1 to 2). But this house edge leads to about a 2% hours advantage - well
behind a game like Blackjack.
There really is no strategy when playing War. The outcome of each game is a 50% chance of winning. The
only decision made is to go to war or surrender - both give the player the same long term outcome. War is a
very fast paced game and if the cards are falling your way, you can win money very quickly... But when the luck
turns, your balance will decrease just as quickly!
