.: Let It Ride Casino Game Review
If you like to play poker, heres a game that you can add to your list of games for fun and profit.
Make sure you are familiar with poker hand rankings as they are also used for the Let It Ride casino
game. Easiest explained, Let It Ride is closer to 5 card stud video poker. You play a hand with the
payout determined by the value of your hand. Let it Ride is also called Let Em Ride at some casinos.
Best of all, this game often has a progressive jackpot, so hitting a royal flush, although exceptionally
rare, can net a huge payday.
Let It Ride Rules
Let It Ride is based on five card stud poker and as many as seven players can participate on what looks
like a regulation blackjack table. Players have a payout schedule and betting circles in front of them with
an opportunity to enter a progressive tournament for an extra dollar.
Each player is dealt three cards and the remaining two cards are community cards that all players use to
complete their hand. The goal here is to make a pair of tens or better. While a pair of tens can be a
winning hand, the better hands have a bigger payoff
Rather than beating the dealer as with other card games, everyone has the same chance for profit. To begin,
all players place the same bets in each of the three betting circles before any cards are dealt. Minimum
bets are usually $1 in online casino versus $5 at major land based casinos; however, when the
game begins, you must put the minimum bet amount in each of the three betting circles in front of you.
The dealer deals and delivers a three-card stack to each participating player facedown in front of their
particular betting circle and finally two cards dealt in front of the dealer become the community cards.
Now comes the time for your decision as to leave (Let It Ride) or take back the first bet away.
If you chose to take back the first bet, you will scratch the surface of the table with your cards at which
time; the dealer returns your bet. A bit of table etiquette here, dont take the bet back your self, let
the dealer do his/her job and return it to you.
Alternatively, should you choose to proceed and Let It Ride, you will put your three cards face down under
your first bet or in front of the betting circles. At this point, you will be shown one of the two
community cards and will make your next decision on this fourth card. You communicate your decision for
this second bet - same as the first bet. Keep in mind that this is your final chance to take back any bets.
Okay, take back the second bet--scratch and the dealer returns your bet or Let It Ride and move onto the
fifth card - the second community card. Following the reveal of the final card, the
dealer reveals all players cards and pays according to bets still riding in each betting circle and an
established payout schedule.
| Let it Ride Pays |
| Royal Flush | 1000 to 1 |
| Straight Flush | 200 to 1 |
| Four-of-a-kind | 50 to 1 |
| Full House | 11 to 1 |
| Flush | 8 to 1 |
| Straight | 5 to 1 |
| Three-of-a-kind | 3 to 1 |
| Two Pair | 2 to 1 |
| Pair of Tens or better | 1 to 1 |
Winning hands are paid for all bets riding in the betting circles. If you bet $10 in each circle, and
took one bet away over the course of the hand where you made 2 pair, you would win $40 (2 bets at $10 each
paying 2 to 1) - and keep your stake.
Let It Ride Strategy
Strategy for this game depends on the players ability to collect a paying hand and when to Let It Ride.
After viewing your first three cards, decide whether to let your first bet ride or not and after a fourth
card, decide whether to let your second bet ride.
Your first betting decision should be to let it ride if any of the following situations exist:
- Pair of Tens or better
- Possible Straight of 3-4-5 suited or higher. Possible Straight of A-2-3 or 2-3-4 suited should not be
considered for this betting decision.
- Possible Straight from three suited cards with one or two gaps and/or high card(s). Examples are 9-10-Q
and 8-10-Q.
You should 'Let It Ride' in the second betting decision if the fourth card revealed gives you hand any of the following:
- Pair of Tens or better
-
- Possible Flush
- Four card possible straight that is higher than 7-8-9-10, but not A-K-Q-J unless a possible flush is
happening.
| Bonus Bet Payoff |
| Straight | $20 |
| Flush | 50 |
| Full House | 75 |
| Four-of-a-kind | 200 |
| Straight Flush | 2000 |
| Royal Flush | 20000 or Progressive Jackpot |
