.: French Roulette Casino Game Review

French Roulette is a very distinct roulette game that has some significant differences in comparison to the American and European roulette games. The first thing you will notice is that all the numbers are in red, and the table is obviously in French. You don’t need to know and understand the language however learning the words for the game will help you from becoming less confused as to what you are betting on. We have included these names as a quick reference but generally speaking it’s not a difficult game to pick up on.

Playing online French Roulette could not be simpler with the help of easy to use betting guides. When playing click the Call Bet button and a popup will appear assisting you with a list of all the call bets. Once you click the name of the call bet an explanation will display so you know exactly what you are betting on.

  • Pair: even numbers
  • Impair: odd numbers
  • Manqué: the low numbers 1-18
  • Passé: the high numbers 19-36
  • Premiere 12 also known as P-12: the first dozen (1-12)
  • Moyenne 12 also known as M-12: the middle dozen (13-24)
  • Derniere 12 also known as D-12: the last dozen (25-36)
The French Roulette wheel still has your numbers alternating in black and red and still permit you to place the same wagers as your other popular variations but you will notice that the French Roulette wheel only has only a single zero. Roulette players know that a single zero table increases your odds and decreases the house edge. We mentioned that the French Roulette game has some big distinctions over the other two variations; one of these is the zero pocket. If the roulette ball lands on the zero you would normally lose your wager, conversely French roulette rules you only lose half your bet.

The other feature that makes this game so attractive is the Call bets. When placing anyone of these bets you shot out the name of the bet by the amount wagered. Not all land casinos use these bets but the majority of online casinos and those supporting the traditional game do. The available call bets in French roulette include;

  • Voisins du Zero (Neighbors of Zero) - A wager on the seventeen numbers that surround the 0 on the French roulette wheel: 0, 2, 3, 4, 7, 12, 15, 18, 19, 21, 22, 25, 26, 28, 29, 32, and 35
  • Tiers du Cylindre (Third of the Wheel) - A wager on the twelve numbers that are positioned on the opposite side of the wheel from the 0: 5, 8, 10, 11, 13, 16, 23, 24, 26, 27, 30, and 33.
  • Orphelins (Orphans) - A wager on the eight remaining roulette numbers that is not included in either the Voisins or the Tiers: 1, 6, 9, 14, 17, 20, 31, and 34.
  • Finales en Plein - This is a wager on all numbers ending in a particular digit. For example, Finales en Plein 3 is a bet on 3, 13, 23, and 33.
  • Finales a Cheval - This is a wager on all numbers ending in either of two digits.
